Intermediate: Learn To Jam Package - 6 Thursdays at 7pm; Starts Feb. 8th
So you know how to play but could use more experience playing with others. You decide to go to a jam, but there is no sheet music. What do you do? This class will give you bite-sized and simple music theory tips. And the ability to practice those tips by jamming with others in a stringband format.
Learn to jam without sheet music through folk, bluegrass, blues and old time songs.
Music is meant to be shared! When you play music with others, an encouraging community forms that leads to individual results. Improvements come when you fit your playing with this community through listening, observing, and taking chances. This will be an encouraging environment for those not yet comfortable with playing with others.
